Since I have used Windows 8 computer, lock screen is my unsolved
problem all the time. It is not because of its special operation, but asking me
to do one more extra step to enter Windows 8 computer.
In a word, lock screen is pretty, but pointless on

How to Bypass Windows 8 Lock Screen?
Start Windows 8, and wait for it showing you the following
screen, also called lock screen.
To
bypass the lock screen, tap any key on the keyboard, click the primary mouse
button, or, on a touch screen, swipe the screen up with your finger. Swipe the
screen up to bypass it just applies to Windows 8 tablet user or laptop with touch screen function.
How to Disable Windows 8 Lock Screen?
1. Run the Local Policy Editor.
The simplest way is to press Windows + R, type gpedit.msc, and then click OK.2. Navigate to disable lock screen settings.
In this control panel, navigate to Computer Configuration, Administrative Templates, Control Panel, and then Personalization. You’ll see three entries on the right side of the window. Double-click the entry titled “Do not display the lock screen”.3. Disable Windows 8 lock screen
Select Enabled in the window that appears. Click Apply and then OK to close that window, and then close the Local Group Policy Editor. The change will take effect immediately.
If you want to test this, just type WINKEY + L to lock the
computer. Normally, this would display the Lock screen. But it will now display
the Sign In screen instead.
You can further test this by rebooting the computer. Now you’ll go directly to the Sign In screen instead of stopping at the Lock screen.

This happens when you have gpedit.msc. But some Windows 8 computer
and user have no gpedit.msc. How should you do?
If you have no gpedit.msc, run regedit instead (WINKEY + R, then type "regedit" and ENTER)

- Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows\Personalization
- You may have to create the final "Personalization" key. Just right click on "Windows" and select "New" and "Key"
- Create a new DWORD (32-bit) with the name NoLockScreen and set the value to 1
- Close regedit.
As with the above instructions, changes

With three ways introduced above, now you have disabled lock screen or start screen, and enter sign
in screen, which is another and last gateway to avoid you accessing Windows 8 system. Only
